The addition of HPMC greatly reduces the loss and dispersion of cement during pouring, and also reduces the compactness of cement stone. Using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose underwater non-dispersible concrete admixture to control the dosage is beneficial to the strength.
The pilot project showed that the strength ratio of cement and concrete in air was reduced by 84.8%, which was beneficial for concrete pumping. The fresh cement mortar mixed with hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose has good cohesive properties and almost no water seepage. The amount of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and the amount of water used for mortar first decreased and increased significantly.
